We have been very busy in the preschool classes to date! The children have enjoyed meeting our weekly letter friends. To date we have met, Mr. N, Mrs. A, Mr. W, and Mr. M. Each letter friend sings a song and helps us associate different words that start with each letter. It is a fun way to also help each child learn the first letter of their name as we go around with each letter friend to see if any preschooler’s name begins with that weekly letter.

The children have been doing an IMPRESSIVE job saying the Pledge of Allegiance each morning and afternoon.  Before the pledge is recited, we start out by saying a phrase to help us associate our left and right hands and where each hand is placed prior to starting the pledge.

Our Bible focuses to date have been around the stories of creation, Adam and Eve and the first sin, Noah’s Ark, and the rainbow noting God’s promise. Our art time activities have all tied into these stories to help recap the importance of God’s word. We hope your child has been able to tell you the stories as they bring home their art projects! J
Seat work has been going very well. We continue to work on the ABC’s, our five senses, tracing lines and our names.

Snack time has been a big hit with tying in our Jesus time stories, letter friends and/or our weekly themes. Thank you for helping participate in this and providing the requested snacks. The children have really been enjoying them and it is another important step in reiterating what we are learning that week.

Here are two photos from the first day of class, as well as a few other random ones taken to date. Enjoy!
