Preschool - NLSW 1.26 & 1.28 / Field Trip 2.4

Celebrating National Lutheran School's Week was enjoyed by all! On Tuesday of that week, we took part in wearing our Red TECC shirts. Then on Thursday, we all wore our silly socks. What a fun change of pace, and boy did we ever see some silly socks! :)

This current week, our school day on Tuesday was impacted due to the Winter Storm 2016. We made up for the day on Thursday however as we had an exciting bus ride to meet with Pastor Coe at Trinity Lutheran Church. Pastor Coe shared with us the meaning of baptism and how we only need to be "washed by the water" once. What a great lesson! Thanks to Pastor Coe for taking time out of his busy schedule to meet with us. After our time spent at the church, the preschoolers and peer group were treated to a special treat at Hy-Vee. It was an exciting day!

During our Jesus Time, we continued to look at Jesus as a little boy. Jesus helped his mom and dad in many ways as a young boy. We talked how we could help out our moms and dads or grandparents. As we continued to look at the life of Jesus, we discussed the story of Jesus being baptized by John the Baptist.

Our classroom layout has changed, along with a few new centers. We have a new exercise area! Ms. Angie reviewed several items in our exercise box that can help us stay active and keep in shape. We also met a new letter friend, Ms. E! Ms. E stopped by and shared her love of exercise and how she has so much exercise energy.

During art time, we spent time making wristbands with the letter "E". We also created snowman, using paint and Q-tips. They are currently up in the hall outside our classroom on display and are pretty adorable! The preschoolers and peer group students worked on writing the uppercase and lowercase letter "E" as well.

Lots of activities were packed into these three days! We learned many things, built up our muscles in the exercise area, played outside, learned about baptism and went on the ever so exciting BUS RIDE!!! These kids are amazing ~ thanks for letting them be a part of our day as well!

God Bless!
