Where is the time going? It is hard to believe we are this far into the school year already! The preschoolers have been working very hard and each one of them has been learning so much. We wrapped up the month of January and have rolled through the month of February. There were many exciting activities that occurred in our classroom over the course of the month.

During Jesus time, we looked at a several stories from the Bible focusing on Jesus growing up. We explored the stories of Jesus at the Temple, Jesus is baptized, Jesus chooses 12 disciples, and Joseph’s coat of many colors. We continue to work on learning the Pledge to the Cross as we recite that following the Pledge of Allegiance.

We continued to meet a few additional letter friends this past month. These included Ms. S – Super Socks, Ms. T – Tall Teeth, and Ms. L – Longest Laugh.

Seatwork time was spent working on several different activities. We worked on finding items that were different, colors and shapes, forming shapes and letters with craft sticks, working on the Letter T using stickers, as well as reviewing the Letter H.

Art time has been filled with numerous hands on tasks. The preschoolers worked on the Letter S and using spaghetti pieces to form the letter. We made our very own groundhogs.  A special heart was made noting the words “Jesus is in our heart”. We also made our very own Valentine bags and a huge toothbrush.

Chef Combo stopped by our classroom this past month. The preschoolers were allowed to choose the type of food we would prepare with Chef Combo and they picked spaghetti. This was so much fun, and tasty!

Our Valentine’s Day party was a big success! The children really enjoyed passing out their valentines made for each of their friends. Thanks to the families for the extra special treats given to us teachers as well!

Thanks for allowing your child to grow with us and in God’s love!
