Preschool - 12.1, 12.3, 12.8, 12.10, 12.15 & 12.17

Advent...a time for waiting.

During the month of December, we prepared our hearts to celebrate the birth of Jesus, our Savior. We watched our candles being added to our Advent wreath. The preschoolers learned how the Angel visited Mary and shared with her the exciting news that she would give birth to Jesus. We studied other Bible stories surrounding this time as well, including how Elizabeth learned she too would be a mother to John the Baptist. We also learned about the great journey to Bethlehem that Mary and Joseph took. Pastor Coe visited one morning and shared the Bible story of Paul and Agabus, the Prophet. God made Paul brave to share the love of Jesus, despite the warnings from Agabus. We too can be brave as Christians just like Paul!

The preschoolers also studied the Legend of the Candy Cane, learning why the candy cane is what it is. Mid-December we were a little nervous that there wouldn't be snow at Christmas time, so we made a snow center in preschool. We had a blast!!

During art time we were busy preparing the parent's gifts, as well as, making our own special bags to wrap them in. We decorated our room and made several other Christmas themed projects. We sang, we danced and played special instruments as we prepped for the Christmas season. Our friend Blakely, became as BIG sister to twins! Congrats to her and her family. We wish them all the best!

Ms. Angie and I would like to thank you for all the wonderful gifts and cards. They were very thoughtful and appreciated. Most of all we would like to thank you for sharing your child with us. We love seeing them and having them in our class! Have a blessed 2016!
