Exciting things have been happening in the Preschool Room the past two weeks! It’s hard to believe we are in the month of November already.

During Jesus Time we focused on Daniel and the Lion’s Den, as well as, the story of David and Goliath. Both of these Bible stories have shown us how we should always trust in God. Having faith in God helps us understand our fears in a different perspective. With this great faith, we realize that God will fight for us and with us.
During art time we painted our lion faces as well as our pumpkin plates. The preschoolers practiced cutting straight lines with scissors, as we crafted our pumpkins to take home for tabletop décor.  We were pretty impressed with how well the preschoolers did with using scissors! Hopefully you enjoyed the pumpkins as well.

We met two new letter friends over the past two weeks. The week of October 22nd and 24th, we met Mr. D who does a dazzling dance. Last week we met Ms. F. She came into the class and showed us her fancy, fabulous, funny feet!
We took some time to try out a science experiment where we tested if items would sink or float once placed in water. Before placing each item in the water, the preschoolers were allowed to guess if the item would sink or float. We then tested each object and tracked our results. Some items caught the preschoolers by surprise!

Chef Combo dropped by our classroom on October 29th.  Since our letter we’ve been studying this past week was F, Chef Combo helped us cook up some delicious French toast. We got a little sticky with the syrup, but enjoyed the special treat very much! Ms. Angie Wallman was able to help work with us this day as well. What another special treat!

On Thursday last week, we celebrated by having our All Saints Party. What a fun filled day! Everyone showed up in amazing costumes and we were able to share them with our daycare providers and friends during our costume parade. We had a great time converting our painted pumpkin plates into take home goodie bags, as well as filling up treat bags for our Homebound Friends for Pastor Coe to deliver. We hope everyone had a safe, fun time trick-or-treating that night as well.

Our hands on table involved working with corn and gourds. What a fun way to discuss the wonderful season of fall. We also continue to work on our alphabet, recognizing the letters and sounds.
Thanks for allowing your child to grow with us!
